kpBUNT is a non-commercial, collectively managed, and grassroots-funded community space governed by the principles of mutual aid and solidarity. Its existence seeks to contribute to the struggle against all forms of oppression and domination.
What is kpBUNT for?
kpBUNT is a space for meeting, organizing, and education. It primarily serves the collectives and individuals involved in its operation, but it is also open to other people and initiatives.
It hosts discussions, lectures, film screenings, sports activities, reading group meetings, and other community events. The space includes the Ivan Ičo Stodola Library.
You can follow us on Instagram and Facebook. We also share updates via an email newsletter.
Why was kpBUNT founded?
kpBUNT was established in 2024 as a joint effort by several collectives and circles of people. We were united by a common problem: Bratislava lacked a space where we could carry out our activities. The first concrete plans to create a safe and independent space emerged in the fall of 2022, just a few weeks after the terrorist attack on Tepláreň.
Who are we and what do we do?
kpBUNT is made up of members of various collectives, as well as individuals affiliated with the Free Association. We focus on topics such as queer liberation, the climate crisis, and workers’ struggles.
There is no limit to the number of people who can contribute to the operation of the space – we welcome collaboration proposals at bunt@volna-asociacia.org.
When are we open?
Every Friday between 15:00 and 18:00, the Ivan Ičo Stodola Library is open.
In addition, the space is open during events, which you can learn about via our Instagram, Facebook, and newsletter.
